Free range eggs from our beautiful ex battery hens, who now lead a life grazing in a paddock on our farm. They’ve come so far since we got them with minimal feathers and scabs on their skin. They’ve never looked healthier since arriving with us and we are so happy to have been able to give them a forever home on our farm. Happy hens equals yummy eggs!

Safety advice
If you wash your eggs, ensure that they are stored in the fridge, as washing them removed a protective layer called the ‘bloom’ or ‘cuticle’. This coating seals the shell pores and prevents bacteria from entering the egg. By keeping them in the fridge after washing, this will help to prolong the shelf life of the egg. Otherwise, only wash eggs before use. Keep eggs stored flat surface up in order to keep them from spoiling. This will ensure that the air pocket within the egg does not burst.
